Holiday Bible Club
This coming year we are hoping to hold a two day holiday Bible club in the Easter School Holidays, on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th April. The holiday bible club commences on the Tuesday morning at 10:15 am through till 12:00 pm. The event will be held at John Donne Lower School, in Blunham, and is open to any lower or middle school children (5 to 11 years old) free of charge.
Many of the children of the locality will already know one of the Holiday Bible Club leaders, Graham Chewter who regularly visits John Donne Lower School to take assemblies.
The theme this year will be 'People Jesus Met'.
During Bible Club the children enjoy singing choruses, some with actions, and hearing stories from the Bible. Refreshments are provided at break time. We also split the children into two teams for the duration of the HBC, and they compete in games and quizzes with the opportunity to win prizes.
On each day a different Bible story will be told. The story will be followed with a quiz to enable the children to win points for their team. They will also have to learn the 'memory verse' during the course of each day.
On the second day of the Holiday Bible club the children will be awarded prizes back at the chapel in the afternoon, and their families will be invited to come along and see them receive their prizes. We then plan to have a barbecue, to which all are invited, in the chapel car park.
The children will be encouraged to come to the Sunday School on the Sunday following the Bible Club.
